Liza Goncharov is the Deputy Director of the Australian National University Institute for Communication in Health Care, where she has managed major multi-site translational research programs in end-of-life and nursing communication, managing more than $4million in grant funding and core operations. A health communication researcher with a background in medical science, linguistics, and computer science, she has been a co-investigator on 16 grants totalling over $2.6 million, published in leading journals including the Medical Journal of Australia, and supported the development and implementation of innovative, practice-changing interventions adopted across a number of Australian hospitals.
